Description:
Yankee Boating Center is looking for a Senior Marine Technician at its Lake Goerge, NY location, responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on customers and company owned boats, and for overseeing the education and quality work of of the Technician Staff. We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is looking to achieve mastery of marine systems repair and marine service department management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Perform routine and scheduled maintenance -Examine vehicles for damage or malfunction -Must be able to competently repair all aspects of marine engine, mechanical, transmission, electrical and hydraulic systems -Communicate with customers, service writer, managers -Abides by Service Department's policies and procedures, and looks for new ways to improve the department's productivity and efficiency -Follow checklists to ensure quality work -Follow a daily schedule -Maintain notes and details of repair work on Repair Orders -Maintains a neat & organized work area and assists others in cleaning of shop -Refrains from foul language and maintains a presentable personal appearance -Keeps boats and vehicles clean and protected during repair and leaves boat or vehicle cleaner than when they found it -Provide technical answers and instructions to sales staff and customers -Willingly assists others in performing diagnostics, heavy lifting and movement of boats -Must be proficient in using OEM diagnostic and parts programs -Must be proficient in the use of all marine engine specialty tools -Working towards Master Certification in all Manufacturers and systems
Requirements:
Requirements: -Minimum 7 years on-the-job experience -Certified in Sterndrive, Outboard and Marine Systems repair -Certified in Mercury DTS, CDS and Axius
