Description:
Project Oceanology has an immediate opening for a full time Administrative Manager to join our team in
delivering marine science and environmental education programs to elementary thru high school students,
college students, and the general public. The Administrative Manager will oversee support operations, supervise
front office staff, and be responsible for HR functions and oversight of facility maintenance. The position
requires outstanding organizational and communications skills, initiative, independent judgment, and personnel
management skills. Flexibility and effective interpersonal skills are essential during frequent interaction with co-
workers, school officials and the general public.

Requirements:
The Administrative Manager will report to the Executive Director. Responsibilities will include scheduling,
staffing, hiring and training of main office staff, database management, contract negotiations, Federal and State
permitting, general office clerical duties such as answering telephones, greeting the public, typing, word
processing and filing.
Education, Experience and Training:
Minimum four years prior experience in administrative support or program coordination role OR equivalent
combination of education and experience
Associate's Degree or higher preferred
Proficiency with Gmail/Google suite, Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency with Mac computers preferred
Proficiency with database systems; Filemaker Pro experience strongly preferred
Prior experience in an educational environment preferred
Nonprofit / education grants management experience preferred
Certificates and Licenses: None required
