Your team won your regional or passed your demonstration - what next?!
Congratulations and welcome to the international competition!
- At this point, there is no need to re-register your teams for the international competition. The regional registration - and payment - will "transfer" to the international event.
- Visit Events - International Competition for a tentative schedule of events as well as housing and travel information for Long Beach. You will want to book your flights (train or car!) as well as your hotel rooms as soon as possible.
- Note that travel and lodging (as well as all meals during the competition EXCEPT the awards banquet) are at your team's own expense. Food trucks will be on site and offer a variety of choices for lunch Friday - Sunday as well as during the kick-off mixer on Friday evening. Water will be available for purchase, but your team is encouraged to bring refillable water bottles to cut down on waste.
- Information on shipping your ROV is also posted here Events - International Competition
- Teams and team members who need letters of invitation (to apply for visas, for example) should review their original team registration receipt from ACTIVE for information on how to request these letters.
- RANGER class teams (students and mentors) will receive an e-mail from ACTIVE asking you to complete some information and sign waivers specific to the international event.
- EXPLORER class teams (lead mentors only) will receive an e-mail from ACTIVE asking you to complete some information specific to the international event.
- Technical documentation and safety pre-inspection documents are due by May 26th - no exceptions! Information about how and where to send the technical documenation, company spec sheets, SIDs, and company safety reviews is included within the competition manuals (see PART 3: VEHICLE DESIGN & BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS, section 2.2 Safety Pre-inspection and PART 5: ENGINEERING & COMMUNICATION). Please read this information carefully!
- Teams competing in the international event are also required to prepare a marketing display and product presentation. Information about those requirements can be found within the PART 5: ENGINEERING & COMMUNICATION section of the manuals.
- Outreach and Inspiration submissions are due on June 9th. Please consult the competition manuals (see PART 5: ENGINEERING & COMMUNICATION) for information on how to earn these optional bonus points!
- Team number assignments are posted here! A detailed schedule of events will be posted by June 1st. A tentative schedule is currently available here.
