Join the Sound Experience community and work as crew aboard the historic schooner Adventuress. Our mission is to Educate, Inspire and Empower youth of all ages to learn to protect Puget Sound.

Sound Experience is accepting applications for Crew Internships
aboard the Adventuress for the 2010 sailing season. We are a non profit organization that sails the tall ship Adventuress, offering environmental education programs through out Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. Our programs work with youth of all ages, including schools, scouts, corporate team building, day sails and overnight voyages. An intern works in an entry level Educator/Deckhand position. Internships are 1-3 months in length and the Sailing Season is April 26-October 31st. We use the Adventuress as a metaphor for our planet: a closed system that requires understanding and care, and sails best when all aboard are working together.

Our focus is educational because we believe that people will protect what they learn to value. As they voyage through the Puget Sound basin, Sound Experience participants are encouraged
to realize that their daily actions make a difference. And they respond with a growing spirit of cooperation, community, stewardship and responsibility.
