MATE Pacific Northwest Regional Challenge
Date: May 9, 2009
Location: Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center Federal Way, WA USA We're pleased to announce the results of the MATE Pacific Northwest
Regional ROV Challenge held yesterday. We'll be sending the following
teams to Massachusetts to compete in the International Competition:
Ranger Class: APIA Submersible Team from South Whidbey High School,
Langley, Washington
Explorer Class: British Columbia Institute of Technology of Burnaby
Canada, and Sea Tech 4H Club of Mt. Vernon, Washington.
Competition yesterday very exciting and good with the defending
champion, 'Ping! 7 MHz of adrenaline!' of Lincoln HS in Portland,
taking 2nd Place, and Team Orca of Sea Tech 4H Club placing 3rd.
Our Scout Class winner was the PT Crews HER Jr. team of Port Townsend,

We look forward to putting on a 5th annual event in 2010. Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers. It was a great team effort.
