Position Summary
The Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (CBNERR) strives to be a leader in applying science to solve coastal management programs and public/technical education to improve awareness of understanding of natural resources.
The Virginia Institute of Marine Science encourages applicants interested in marine/environmental education to apply for the Summer Marine Education Assistant position. The Ideal candidate will possess leadership ability and have knowledge and experience leading marine sciences activities with children of all ages.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Summer Marine Science Education Specialist position assists the Education Coordinator and Education Specialist with implementation of 5- summer marine science camps.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintains a safe environment. Supervises camp participants.
- Supports development of educational program of all ages. Assists with activities including crafts, games, demonstrations, etc.
