We seek a creative, adaptive, and responsible Electronics Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team developing advanced underwater vehicles. You will possess a variety of skills in multiple electronics disciplines, and will demonstrate outstanding creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with little oversight and deliver according to specification and performance requirements. Successful team members we have typically have worked on many projects on their own time, or have worked on and delivered complex and reliable systems for a variety of industries- Land, Sea, Air, and Space. The responsibilities will be multi-faceted including building and integrating sensors, hardware, software, mixed systems, digital and analog circuits, power control electronics, motion control, project planning, hands-on development, and user interfaces associated with underwater vehicles. We are looking for a best fit according to skills, culture, attitude, and ability to deliver.
Requirements:
In addition to the specific requirements listed below, this position requires excellent design skills, a demonstrated technical proficiency, passion for creativity, and excellent communication skills. S/he will have exemplary technical skill in Electrical Engineering and ideally possess experience in the design and development of dynamic motion-based systems or robotics. Preference will be given to individuals demonstrating outstanding creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with little oversight. Additional preference will be given to candidates showing strong mechanical skills, particularly with mechanical design and 3D CAD systems. • BS Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline • 5 or more years of relevant industry experience of Robotics, motion control, power systems, sensor fusion, control algorithms, vehicle systems, video systems, data acquisition and analysis, any mechatronic systems. • Ideal experiences: Autonomous vehicles, drones, vehicle systems, power, control electronics, firmware, verification and validation testing • Skilled in both analog and digital circuit design. • Proficiency with microprocessor based digital and analog design. (atmel, microchip, ST, arduino, SBC, etc) • Must have experience working with battery powered systems and motion control • Highly proficient in hands-on skills, especially soldering and component-level assembly, and troubleshooting equipment. • Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) • Familiar with schematic capture and PCB layout programs and fabrication process (Altium) • Proficient with a variety of programming languages such as C/C++,Assembly, matlab, python, iOS, Android, ROS • Mechanical CAD (solidworks, inventor, etc) a plus • Self driven, independent, ability to multi-task and complete assignments • Excellent documentation and communication skills • Team player • Please submit project portfolio along with application
