I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) www.imsg.com, leading a Scientific and Technical Support Team (IMSG Team, consisting of IMSG, Inc. and subcontracting companies) is looking for qualified IT Specialist/System Administrator candidates with IT specialization in Linux system administration and clustering technologies to support the NOAA JPSS Satellite System in College Park, Maryland.
Job Duties:
- Deploy, configure, and administer an HTCondor cluster run on Redhat Enterprise Linux
- Perform system administrator duties using technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills and a repeatableprocess to resolve issues with servers and software and document resolution where appropriate
- Works with NOAA government staff to coordinate science processing

Requirements:
Required Skills:
- 4 years plus of system administration experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including: OS installation, configuration, troubleshooting, software installation, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery
- Experience with installation and management of parallel (cluster) processing systems
- Expertise in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- US Citizenship is required
Specific Experience Required/Desired Skills include:
- HTCondor experience is a plus
- Parallel Filesystem/Cluster Filesystem experience is a plus
- Experience with network switching in a Cisco environment is a plus
- Experience of batch job queuing system
- Teamwork, strong inter-personal skills
Education: BS or greater degree with formal course work in computer programming, networking, and logic
