Help I Love A Clean San Diego inspire and empower youth to keep San Diego clean!
I Love A Clean San Diego is looking for a part-time environmental educator to deliver presentations in K-12 classrooms throughout San Diego County, attend community outreach events, and assist on ILACSD’s recycling referral hotline. The ideal candidate would be a student with teaching experience and at least two to three open days for part-time weekday and weekend work. Hours will vary from week to week, on average 16 to 20 hours, with additional hours possible on an as-needed basis.
Furthermore, the Program Assistant is responsible for the following activities:
- Delivery of education presentations
- Distribution and collection of teacher evaluations, student surveys, and handouts
- Tracking and reporting of delivered presentations
- Maintenance and care of education resources, supplies, and equipment
- Attendance at community cleanups and events, including supply pick-ups and set-up
- Foster positive relationships with community members
- Take calls and assist on the recycling hotline as needed
- Respond to ILACSD staff inquiries within 24 hours via phone or email (unless prior arrangements made)
- Complete timecards and mileage reimbursement within due dates
- Other duties as assigned

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
