About Our Camp
The Audubon Naturalist Society (ANS) seeks highly motivated and creative individuals for the 2017 Camp Audubon season. Camp Audubon offers day and overnight programs for children ages 4-17. Camp is based at our 40-acre nature sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. ANS provides a dynamic work environment with friendly, creative, and knowledgeable staff. General Schedule and Position Descriptions
Camp Audubon Teachers/Naturalists develop and lead outdoor nature and science camp programs for 16 campers, as well as supervise college-age interns and high school-age Teen Naturalists in Training (TNTs) from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30/4:30 p.m. Positions available for three to six weeks. (Additional weeks available through extended camp, see below.) Salary of $575 - $699 per week. Some camps may include an overnight for an additional stipend.
Extended Camp Teachers provide programming for campers and supervise college-age interns and high schoolage Teen Naturalists in Training (TNTs) from 2:30 - 6:15 p.m. This is a part-time position available for three to nine weeks. Salary of $312 per week.
Requirements:
Requirements
-Bachelors in education, environmental science, or similar field
-Summer camp or teaching experience preferred
-Must have experience working with children
-Possess natural history knowledge
-Must enjoy working outside
