Project Oceanology was founded in 1972 by a group of teachers and administrators who recognized the potential of the marine environment as an educational resource. Today, Project Oceanology has grown into a collaborative discovery experience for students from elementary to college throughout the academic year and through our summer camp programs. Project Oceanology is committed to developing marine study opportunities for students and visitors by engaging them through hands on experiences in the classroom, laboratory, along the shore and on our research vessels.
Responsibilities:
• Manage budgets and all financial aspects of this non-profit organization
• Develop strategic and business plans to advance and expand sustainable funding
• Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program
operations and regional expansion.
• Prepare grants, oversee grant monitoring and reporting
• Manage facilities, vessels and related staff
• Foster relationships with schools, universities, and the community
Salary Range: commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Five years business management and/or non–profit administration
• Management experience in an educational setting preferred
• Experience in finance management, including planning and managing budgets
• A track record of excellence in organizational management with the ability to
coach staff, and develop a high performance team
• Proven fundraising experience
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
