Module 14 - Sensor Devices
Goal:
This module will introduce the concepts of sensors connected to the ROV system. A wide range of sensors are covered as they apply to ROV systems.
Objectives
Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to:
- Calculate the viewing angle of a given camera lens once it is in water.
- Waterproof a temperature sensor that can be used as a tool package and collect temperature data with it mounted on an ROV
- Send Heading and temperature data to a HMI system
- Evaluate/Debate several environmental issues and discuss how ROV technology could help to collect evidence or monitor the sites discussed
