Join our talented team of steward scientists managing marine minerals and safeguarding our ocean's resources. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, within the Department of the Interior, manages billions of ocean acres of the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf - securing minerals for our country's future, ensuring that exploration and development occurs in an environmentally-responsible way. Position responsibilities include: ? Developing policy for the exploration, leasing, and stewardship of marine minerals ? Coordinating and managing use of minerals in coastal restoration projects ? Advancing BOEM's National Offshore Sand Inventory and Marine Minerals Information System ? Evaluating minerals using geophysical, geological, and geospatial methods and data ? Participating in and managing research projects ?
