Description:

Exciting opportunity to support Antropocene's efforts to protect our planet. Anthropocene Institute is a small organization that employs a multidisciplinary team focused on ocean conservation and clean energy. The Operations and Outreach Coordinator will work with the Anthropocene Founders on logistics, and with the Director of the ProtectedSeas team on coordination and marketing outreach through advertising, social media, design, email communication, websites, and content targeting the general public, government policy makers, ocean stakeholders, and the conservation NGO community. The Operations and Outreach Coordinator will schedule internal and external meetings, document meetings, and track action items and deliverables for project goals. Also responsible for coordinating and planning webinars and in person events, including booths and displays for large, international conferences. Minimal administrative responsibilities include direct support to the Anthropocene Institute principles, payment of contractors, and tracking of internal project budgets and employee vacation. The majority of team members work Pacific Standard Time.


Requirements:

- While majority telework, in-person availability in the SF Bay Area is required. - Ability to conduct background research and understand interests of different organizations - Experience generating, cultivating and maintaining business relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders - Strong communication skills. - Must be able to work independently, make decisions and problem solve. - Ability to compose written material with a succinct message and free of spelling or grammatical errors. - Good sense of design, developing and implementing communication and marketing plans, and project coordination. - Experience: implementing marketing and outreach plans across various platforms including social media. - Demonstrated success planning and executing events
