Description:

Bring your technical skills and help us shape the future of how we adapt our beaches and coastal habitats to threats from coastal climate change. We are: a multidisciplinary team based in California and led by the Greater Farallones Association, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Geological Survey, interested in advancing nature-based solutions to address climate impacts to shoreline habitat. You are: someone with numerical modeling skills interested in a 2-year, fully funded Postdoctoral Research position focused on coastal-hazards assessments to quantify the benefits and tradeoffs of coastal adaptation options. If you are interested in advancing innovative research that will be applied to support climate adaptation planning and coastal decision-making, and getting to work with a fantastic team across local, state, and federal organizations, please consider applying. The team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but qualified and motivated remote candidates are welcome.
