Description:
Under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Scientist and the lead of a Research Writer, incumbent will assist the Pelagic Fisheries and Ecosystem Program's outreach staff and other Marine Region staff with preparation, review, and distribution of scientific and regulatory outreach materials. Assist with preparation and review of printed outreach materials, blogsite content, and social media content; review for biological science accuracy and regulations accuracy, and distribution to public. Assist with construction, organization, and maintenance of Marine Region photo library. Assist with Marine Region website maintenance and editing; review for biological science accuracy and regulations accuracy. Assist with social media content and other Marine Region outreach, education, interpretation, and communication tasks as directed. Assist with coordination, set up, and participation in local and statewide outreach events. Respond to public inquiries for information. Assist with administrative duties as directed, including tracking time worked, organizing and maintaining common spaces in the local office, attending career development and training programs and seminars as appropriate, and attending All-Staff meetings to contribute to the achievement of the Pelagic Fisheries and Ecosystem Program goals and objectives.
