Description:

Fort Caswell, a 288-acre coastal retreat and conference center located on Oak Island at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, is currently accepting resumes to be considered for our Environmental Stewardship Program Internship. The 6-month internship involves working with K-12 public, private and homeschool groups and adults. Must be energetic, flexible and a self-starter. Internship requires working on floating docks, a fishing pier, on the beach and tidal flats, and kayaking. Must be comfortable working on/near the water in a variety of weather conditions. Additional details are as follows:

Initial internship period is for 6-months, with possible 6-month extension. $250/week plus room and board.

Fort Caswell is a ministry of the NC Baptist State Convention. Fort Caswell exists to provide a facility and services that create an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and development of the individual and Christian community within groups. We serve and work in an environment of belonging and purpose, and with uncompromising Christ-centered values, honor and integrity.


Requirements:

Upcoming or recent college graduates interested in pursuing a career in outdoor education; strong background in science and/or education required.
