Team Leader-Education Strategy and Evaluation

Primary Responsibilities:
The main duties of the Team Leader include, but are not limited to: Team Lead and Task Order Coordinator ? Allocating and deploying resources and staff among projects from the Education Support Team (approximately seven staff) for specific Task Orders ? Performing practice area oversight (including scoping and budgeting) ? Performing project and team oversight within practice area as required for successful completion of each Task Order and providing support to other Task Orders, as appropriate ? Performing QA/QC to ensure that the quality of deliverable is of the consistently high standard necessary to obtain and maintain Blue Earth Consultants’ recognition as a firm of choice ? Leading and coordinating research and writing for Task Order deliverables ? Presenting project findings and/or performing technical facilitation to various stakeholder groups, both informally and formally Task Order Supervision and Management ? Managing and developing Support Team comprised of junior-, mid-, and senior-level staff ? Mentoring and training described in Task Orders, which may vary by Task Order ? Demonstrating firm leadership and upholding Blue Earth Consultants’ core values

Expertise in workshop, training, and meeting development and management; committee, council, and secretariat coordination; education and outreach tools and techniques; monitoring, evaluation, and learning; partnership identification and development; strategic planning; marine sanctuaries; and marine resource management, ? Familiarity and experience working with the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of National Marine Sanctuaries ? Experience developing and managing a practice area and team of seven or more staff ? Exceptional project management and organizational capabilities ? Experience administering or managing grants ? Proficiency at managing multiple projects and Task Orders with tight and often competing deadlines ? Possession of a methodical, analytical, strategic, diligent, and creative approach to problem solving and decision-making ? Ability to produce products in a timely fashion through collaborative processes and to work effectively with diverse partners from public and private institutions ? The ability to distill critical information from diverse and detailed sources across disciplines and to translate that information between technical experts and non-technical audiences ? Strong personal commitment to realizing the mission, and adhering to the values of Blue Earth Consultants ? The unshakeable ability to maintain neutrality and objectivity for clients and stakeholder projects, and in the interest of facilitating the meeting of minds with divergent motivations ? Ability to manage sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality ? Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Required Knowledge and Experience ? Interdisciplinary training in marine conservation and management, education and outreach, and monitoring and evaluation. Masters with at least 12-15 years relevant experience or PhD with at least 10-12 years relevant experience ? Solid understanding of tools and methods for marine resource management and conservation education and outreach and strategic planning ? Extensive experience working with the public sector, direct experience working with NOAA or other marine and coastal management staff or contractors preferred ? Extensive experience designing, managing, and coordinating workshops, trainings, meeting s, committees, councils, and secretariats ? Knowledge of best practices, tools, and techniques in education and outreach, monitoring, evaluation, and learning ? Experience identifying, developing, and coordinating multi-stakeholder partnerships ? Experience managing and facilitating education, outreach, and evaluation programs, contractors, and groups ? Experience balancing and delivering on multiple projects ? Excellent skills working with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) ? Consulting experience a strong plus
